Coupon Binder Review

As a lot of you know, I am a coupon fanatic. While standing in line at Kroger recently, the woman behind me stopped me and asked, "Where do you get your coupons? I want to be like you." After telling her several places to look for coupons, she told me, "I want to coupon but it takes so much time."

I had to agree. People don't realize how much time couponing can take, especially if you're coupons aren't organized. I have been searching for years for the easiest way to organize my coupons. I tried boxes, which worked but was bulky. I couldn't lug a box into the store. I needed something portable which could keep me organized.

Lately I had begun to see lots of people carrying "coupon binders" into the store. I wanted one of these but didn't know how to make one for myself. Thankfully, Elizabeth at The Coupon Binder Store came to my rescue. She sent me her Hand-made Coupon Organizer which includes:
The binder:
-8.5" X 11" X 1.5"
-Made of heavy-duty canvas
-2 zippered pockets on the exterior of the binder
-Accordion-style file pocket on the inside

The guts:-3 general pocketed category dividers
-16 specific category dividers
-5 pocketed dividers for your grocery stores (blank, self-customizable)
-50 coupon holder sheets

Extra:
16 category-coordinated coupon sorter cards

First, I have to say this binder is sturdy. I keep it in my vehicle and the kids have dropped it, sat on it, you name it, and it has held up. I will be honest and say the coupon binder system does take some time to set up at first. However, having all my coupons in one place and being able to have them handy and ready to go at a moments notice has made shopping much easier for me. Plus, I have the added benefit of being able to jump on unadvertised and clearance specials which I couldn't do when I only carried the coupons I knew I would need for my shopping trip.

If you are interested in purchasing a Coupon Binder for yourself, you can purchase them online.

In the interest of full disclosure, I received a Coupon Binder for review purposes.

  2. I'm going to check this out... I've seen shoppers using binders. I just shove my coupons in a plastic accordion folder, which serves the purpose but I'm sure I could get more from my coupons by using a binder!

    Thanks for sharing!
