Betty Crocker Potato Buds Prize Package

CoNTEST IS Closed.
My kids are picky eaters. One dish I have always been able to get them to eat is mashed potatoes. Of course, most of the time I don't have time to whip up a batch from scratch. I always keep a few boxes of Betty Crocker potatoes in my cabinet in case one of the kids asks for potatoes for supper.

Did you know it is easy to use the mashed potatoes to create simple but filling dishes for your family? I have been using them in recipes for years and everyone always compliments my food. When I want to make a hearty meal, I use them to make Shepherd's Pie or Potato Casserole. The potato buds can also be used to thicken soups which are too watery.

Plus, for those of us who have relatives with food allergies, Betty Crocker potatoes are gluten free. Betty Crocker even has a new recipe section devoted to gluten free recipes here. With choices like Cheesy Broccoli Potato Soup no one will question if the gluten is missing! You can visit Betty Crocker for dinner tips and recipes.

  1. I actually use the to thicken soups and to help make meat loaf stretch. Use the instant mashed potatoes instead of crackers in my meatloaf. These are a fav of a friend of mine...she can eat them all alone.
Now inventative? I wonder if you could whip them up, add flavor and sweetner and make a kind of topping out of them? I know odd thought...but I go there.

  6. Hey Pam. Would like to be entered as instant potatoes are DD fav.

Our fav recipe for these is just making a mountain of potatoes and putting a brown gravy meat mixture in the middle. Looks like a volcano.
