Things Are Looking Up!

(See how much the kids have changed since I began blogging?)

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, you will remember last year was difficult to say the least. With all the broken bones and the huge pay cut Bryan received, we struggled through the year. It was a learning experience for all of us, especially the kids.
My daughter was known to quip, "I liked it better when we had money." It was a sentiment shared by the entire family.

When my husband was offered a job with another company in January he pounced on it like a cheetah. We knew it would take him a while to work up through the corporate hierarchy again. However, on Friday he was offered a promotion! Yea! We are so thankful.

Now, how soon do you think it will be before my daughter decides to stage a corporate takeover at her job?

Also, it's time for my semi-annual "Ask Pam" post. Do you have any questions you'd like to ask (G-rated) about our family? me? Sassie and Peeve? The kids? The Spare kids? Leave them in a comment below and I'll create a post soon.

23 Thoughts Shared by Others:

  1. Amazing the difference a year makes.

Peeve? I don't think we've met. Sassie, yes but Peeve, no so perhaps a little about him/her would be nice.

  2. Where has the time gone? Our kids are growing up way too quickly! =(

Your daughter has been busy lately; what's your son been up to?

  3. Here's a question:

If you could meet anyone in the world, past and/or present, who would it be?

  5. Awesome news on the promotion!

Let's see, questions...since you review a ton of books, I would like to know what your absolute favorite book you've read in the last year is. And, what is the most Life-Changing book you've read in your life?

    Ok - a question.
What was your most humiliating experience when you were a teenager... I'm sure your kids are dying to know too.

  7. Congrats to Bryan on the promotion! I did tell you C's business application with the state was approved, right? I honestly can't remember!

Question: I know your kids don't like educational trips. Are there any that they were pleasantly surprised to discover was really cool after all?

  8. I am SO happy for your husband and your family!! Super happy...and you just wait I can see your daughter climbing that ladder real quick. ;-)

Cool idea about the questions...let me think. Have you and your family always lived in your current state...if not...how many states have you lived in?

Did broken bones happen among the siblings of either you or your hubs as children? Because it really is a crazy situation you've had there.

  12. It's nice to look back sometimes and to see how much has changed (or stayed) the same.

I like the idea about questions! I might have to copy you (if you don't mind).

My question is, "Are you an early bird or a night owl?"
