College, Here We Come!

It's time for my daughter to explore colleges, so she took a field trip to Berry College. It's the largest campus in the United States and filled with beautiful buildings.
It also has a higher ratio of cattle than students.

"Why would I go somewhere exactly like where I live now?" my daughter queried.

The campus was toured with attempts by my daughter and her friends to blend in with the college students.

Like walking to class...

chilling out in the dorm...

and hanging around in the cafeteria...

Of course, you always have the one friend who is bored.

This post is listed under Outdoor Wednesday and Wordful Wednesday.

  5. This is one of the schools I considered..ultimately deciding on its RIVAL..Shorter College--LOL because they offered an even better scholarship :) But, it's a beautiful place with a great reputation. (and to be honest...we often visited the campus just to see the herds of DEER grazing among the cattle)

  7. I remember those days of college visiting. For me, there were so many emotions surrounding choosing a place to spend my 4 years. Ended up only spending two at the first place because I met Dwight and transferred to his school starting my junior year.

  26. I remember trying to 'blend in' with the students when I went for interview! After the disastrous interview I had (the interviewer took a VERY dim view of Christian applying to do a science course!) I never thought I'd get a place but I did!

  31. Looks like a beautiful campus, but your daughter is right about not going somewhere exactly like where she lives now. I grew up in the suburbs of a big city, so chose to go to school in a small town. Totally different experience and I loved it, but found out that I'm a city girl at heart! Hope she finds the school of her dreams!

  32. Oh wow that's going to be fun! But they're not all going to the same place, are they???

  33. How fun! We are getting to that point. Dd is a junior this year. Sadly, all the places she wants to go are far, far away, so actually visiting the campus prior to going for auditions is not happening on our budgets. If she is invited for auditions we will have to go - she will be a voice major and probably a physics or some type of science major. What is your dd thinking of majoring in?

  34. I am sorry, but there were not enough "face" pics for my liking. I hope a family vacation will be planned, so I can see some disgust. Have fun helping her choose a school.
