After they prop up the green thing, they spread toys called "lights" and "ornaments" around the floor. I chew on them. For some reason my parents get upset and yell, "Stop, Sassie!"
I ignore them, of course.
When they finish, I try to take a nap. I sleep as close as possible to the tree to make sure it doesn't move.

Usually, my mom has lots of fun "presents". I try to look into them and tear the paper off of them. More yelling. Sheesh! What's with these people?

Plus, since's Peeve's 'accident', my mom says my siblings and Peeve are expensive. Perhaps my Christmas wish will finally come true and she'll make them all leave home. I'll be an only child!
My father says he thinks I paid to try to have Peeve "whacked." I resent this implication. I don't have any money.

See you next month for more insightful wisdom and insights from me,

P.S. My mom says she is behind on posting and reading blogs but she will try to visit everyone soon!

Poor Sassie! You are so misunderstood. And it just seems like a conspiracy to keep you from having fun.... ;o)
ReplyDeleteEver read the kids book the Cat Who Climbed the Christmas Tree? Quite an adventure. Looks like you are trying to re-live the story.
ReplyDeleteBe safe. No more broken kitties!
Aw Sassie, we know you would never want to hurt Peeves! Enjoy your kitty Christmas. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know Sassie... With a name like that, we just can't take you seriously...
ReplyDeletePam - I was telling my husband about your predicament and that was HIS idea! So of course I jumped right in. I'm glad you got a kick out of it!
Cats, trees and presents make for one interesting month don't they? But I wouldn't give up any of them! Your tree looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe know you didn't try to "whack" peeve! And to think your beans thought that! You look adorable trying to "peek" at pressies!
ReplyDeleteSassie, my cats, Zach, Mimi, and Popo, love the candy canes, ornaments, and lights too. I love when they sleep under the tree - they are adorable.
ReplyDeleteAt least you show some interest in what they are doing ! I was completely ignored by my cats when I decorated our "mini" tree. We will celebrate together with my son at his home, so we didn't put up a big tree.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm not in the right mood to comment as usual.
You'll understand when reading my COT this week.
Sorry
Tor
Enjoy your holiday Sassie!
ReplyDeleteOh Sassie, I agree..be careful of that chewing and tearing! Maybe you could get your very own catnip mistletoe??
ReplyDeleteHi Sassie
ReplyDeleteYou are looking so cute by the Christmas tree
Very lovely shots :-)
I jump always in that tree
You must try it its just FUN !!
((HUGS))
Kareltje =^.^=
Silly Sassie! Christmas tree's are cat jungle gyms in disguise so have fun. :)
ReplyDeleteSassie,
ReplyDeleteWhat is Santa bringing you for Christmas. I am sure that you've been good.
Ah Sassie sure Christmas is for cats. We have every year special kitty ornaments at the bottom of the tree. They can play it off and they love it.
ReplyDeleteI like your tree. It is lovely!
Ya know, I'm starting to believe that your cat really says all those things!!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you again Sassie! Of course, everyone knows that Christmas is for cats! We always have to leave a spot under the Christmas tree as my cat Didi loves to sit under it. Had a kitty several years ago who loved to climb the tree, and tree repellents never worked. We finally just removed all of the breakable ornaments and let Jackson enjoy herself.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas!
Luckily my kitties don't pay my tree any attention!
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you got your tree up after the animal
ReplyDeletegot into your stuff! It looks great with the blues, silver and Sassie keeping watch! Christmas
is indeed for furries and fun!
Loaded your blog post from my reader so that I could comment but decided to check my email first and saw your comment. How coincidental is that!
ReplyDeleteYour cat posts are so funny. How is Peeve doing now?
I think the cat posts might just be my favorite! I bet you are so right on with what Sassie is really thinking!
ReplyDeleteSassie, the tree is put up so you can climb the tree in the house and don't have to go out of the house to climb the trees outside. It may be too cold for you to do that now. :P
ReplyDeleteMy sweet Himalayans love to sleep under the tree. I think they enjoy the warmth from the lights. But they've never messed with an ornament and I find that odd. You are precious Sassie!
