Here's my daughter showing her pleasure of spending the day with us while standing beside Emory's unofficial mascot, Dooley. He's dressed for "Breast Cancer Awareness Month."

I loved how their student center and cafe overlooked their theatre.

Here's what my daughter had rather have been doing.
Hanging out with friends...

Participating in horrible sounding karoke....

and dressing up as "Calculus Girl" at a friend's house. She has some sort of physics theory written on the back of her shirt.

Be A Fan
Her facial expressions always crack me up!!
ReplyDeleteAnd wow...what a smart girl you got there, Pam!
College - wow! It's a very long way off for us, but then I guess you feel like it was onyl a short while ago you were thinking that! When she gets serious about someone you're going to have the best photos to show him!!
ReplyDeleteSarah
Oh yes, college tours. I'm guessing from the looks of it, she won't be attending Emory or maybe she will...just not with the family.
ReplyDeleteI hope she won't miss you guys too much. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThe campus is beautiful!
Mine aren't allowed to leave. Ever. They disagree.
Wow! I can't believe all of our "babies" are ready for college!! You could tell her that you want to be like the Disney Goofy movie, where he goes back to college with his son. I'm sure she would welcome that :)! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMakes me sad for you that she is growing up and soon will be away. A vision of my own future.
ReplyDeleteAnother great photo!!!
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is HILARIOUS!!! Thanks for showing me what I will get to endure one day! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think mine would have the same reaction - lol. We'll probably start doing the college tour thing next year.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe it...thinking about college already??? She looks thrilled...trying not to laugh!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, your dd and mine would be bff's. I'm not kidding. Dd went to school for Halloween as an overworked, overtired AP student - a sign around her neck read "Will work for test answers" - I won't show her this post because she would think Calculus Girl would make a great super hero costume for next year. Is Emory her first choice?
ReplyDeleteWow! Pre-med?! Pretty smart chick!
ReplyDeleteThe first shot of your daughter is priceless. I think I have seen that expression on my sons face at one time. Great post.
ReplyDeleteShe is pretty smart! Wow, collage tours. Time is running to fast, isn't it? I picture of my son for a sec, grown up, going to collage..LOL, he is only 7 now :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I always love the pics of your kids:)
I always appreciate your kids enthusiasm for spending time with family. ;) But no doubt she will miss you more than she'll ever admit.
ReplyDeletelove it!! She must be one smart and pretty cookie!! stop by
ReplyDeleteWow pre-med! Right now my oldest son wants to be either a race car driver, fireman (as long as he can drive the firetruck) or an astronaut. Good think we have a while yet to decide :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is such an exciting time for her and such a heart pinching time for you. How wonderful that she is focused and knows what she wants to do. Your photos made me feel very, very old :-). I hope you are having a great Outdoor Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny post! I think it's so neat that she is looking into pre-med. My BIL was a doctor, and several of his daughters are nurses (supervisors and what not). I think it's great when young women go to med school. I have friends who braved that frontier years ago, and they are wonderful, compassionate doctors.
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wed...
Sheila :-)
Wonderful views! Wishing your daughter well in her studies ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Ha ha ha, she looks so thrilled!
ReplyDeleteI did a college tour with my grandfather, now THAT was fun. None of his old cronies at the college remembered him and instead of touring we walked from office, to office, to office. At least he's a great sport and made it fun anyway by laughing about it.
The expression on her face is priceless.
ReplyDeleteGee....I have seen that look before myself. :) How impressive that she is looking for a pre-med program.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking at colleges for Anna too! It's scary, the bill and the realization that our babies arr growing up.
ReplyDeleteMissed you, I made a mess of my blog!
Can you believe you all are looking at colleges?! Your daughter always makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty campus! I remember touring the college I first went to. Ahhh, growing up.
ReplyDeleteThat facial expression looks very familiar. I believe have one of those in my home.
ReplyDeleteLook her expression ..... :-)
ReplyDeleteI now I have also girls !!!!!
I can really see her pleasure in this trip. :D
ReplyDeleteCute post! I have one left at home and he will not be leaving until next year. When we toured some colleges, he acted (and looked) like he was bored but in actuality, he was pretty excited. so he told me later! Teenagers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the tour with us!
~ Tracy
Depending on how many colleges you have to visit, they DO get old!
ReplyDeleteLove that first pic!
ReplyDeleteWow, pre-med! Congratulations to your daughter. The first picture cracked me up. She will continue to have that look on her face (at least until she needs money lol) Have fun finding just the right place for her. Kathy
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! Your kids always look so cheerful and happy whenever you have family outings! *L*
ReplyDeleteI remember that my mother cried all the way home from our college tours,as it must have finally hit her that I would be leaving soon. Little did she know that I move back home after college and not leave again for 3 years! I was like the prodigal daughter!
Hugs to you and your daughter both!
