A Fresh Start....

Welcome to my new and revamped blog! My old blog on homeschool blogger was having serious issues. With only a short time to spend on the computer, thirty minutes to complete a post was a serious hindrance! Plus, I was able to make a cool header for blogger!

For anyone who happened to wander by, here's "the lowdown" on my family. We live in a very small town in Georgia. Think Mayberry, but without Barney Fife.
As for our family...
First, there's me, Pam. I despise having my picture made, so I never do! Just imagine me without the red hair.

I found that my poor hubby, Bryan, had not fared much better. Here's the latest photo of him.

Next is my sixteen year old daughter. She's a sophomore who has recently gotten her driver's license. She needs an awesome nickname for cyberspace, so I'll call her "Ana" because I always wanted a daughter named "Anastasia." Bryan said this name would be to long with our last name ,("Think about when she has to feel in those little circles for tests!"), but I counted the letters in her name and there is only one less letter. I think I was tricked!

Here's my twelve year old son and one of our goofy cats. The cat was thrown out at our house and quickly adopted by the kids. His name is Peeve, because Ana always wanted a "pet peeve." My son's new cyberspace nickname will be "Ash", after Ash Ketchum, his favorite pokemon character.

Strangely, it appears the best picture of all of us is our cat, Sassie. She will be celebrating her 7th birthday this year and she likes to bite. She's unhappily wearing her cow costume.
Not only do we have our children, we have two spares who think they belong to us!

We have a sixteen year old spare daughter ("Tess") and a fifteen year old spare son ("Kip"). They have grown up with our children and think they belong to us. "Tess" was extremely happy to be included in the blog line up. ("Really? You'll put me in? Yea!")

Finally, how do I know something strange and unusual is always happening here? Yesterday I found Ana and Tess dressed like this:

As they were strolling downtown (yes, dressed like this), they met our youth pastor. I'm sure this will give him much to talk about during Sunday School this week.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit with my family and come back again soon! I plan to post much more often here.

  2. Pam,

I love the new look. I've seen so many people with this kind of "post a comment" format. How did you create this?

  3. Hi Pam! Yep, dh made it home safe and sound. He has to go out of town again next week, but maybe this time we might get to go with him. :) I'm so glad you moved to blogger, it really is easier. I have found it even easier if you use windows live writer...you can upload pics easily with it. Well, the new blog looks great. I hope you and your family are doing well...and happy Valentines day!

  7. OK, Pam. You have SO passed me up. HOW DID YOU DO THE TEMPLATE THING? I am so envious it's not even funny.
And HOW did you get it so people can post comments right here?
Now remember all those times when I helped you over on HSB? I'm calling in the "marker" today. LOL

  8. So, are you going to come and follow me, too? LOL
NOT that I have all that much to say, but having only one follower makes me lonely.

  11. Hi Pam! I'm glad to see you here! I, too, have been having issues with HSB for a long time. I continued to keep a blog there, but have another one that I've kept for a long time on blogspot. You'll have to visit me there! Thanks for letting me know you're here! Hopefully, we can keep in touch better now! This really is SO much easier than HSB!!!

Hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day!

    God bless you - Julie
